The Television and Film Study Program, Faculty of Communication Sciences, held the Field Assessment conducted by the Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT) on 23-24 April 2026. This activity formed an important part of the accreditation process, which is intended to confirm the data and information submitted by the study program and to support an objective, transparent, and accountable external quality evaluation.
The field assessment was carried out by two BAN-PT assessors, namely Prof. Dr. Anak Agung Gede Bagus Udayana, S.Sn., M.Si. and Drs. Baskoro Suryo Banindro, M.Sn. In the BAN-PT field assessment framework, each study program is assessed by two assessors as part of the peer-review process.
During the two-day assessment, the assessors reviewed academic and supporting documents, verified institutional data, and held clarification sessions with the study program management and related stakeholders. According to the BAN-PT Field Assessment Guidelines, this stage is intended to confirm the accuracy of the submitted information, examine supporting evidence, and gather findings that become the basis for the official field assessment report.
The assessment process also reflects the study program’s commitment to continuous quality improvement in higher education. BAN-PT states that field assessment is part of the accreditation process used to determine the feasibility and quality assurance of a study program based on established national higher education standards.
As part of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, the Television and Film Study Program is oriented toward producing graduates who are competent in meeting the needs of the television and film industry, with career prospects ranging from television and film production to media analysis and entrepreneurship. This academic orientation strengthens the relevance of the program in responding to the development of the creative media industry.
Through the implementation of this field assessment, the Television and Film Study Program, Faculty of Communication Sciences, reaffirmed its readiness to continue strengthening academic quality, institutional governance, and the implementation of the tridharma of higher education. The activity is expected to contribute positively to the program’s accreditation process and to further encourage sustainable institutional development.
