SUMEDANG – On Friday, July 25, 2025, a team of lecturers from the Television and Film (TVF) study program at the Faculty of Communication Sciences (Fikom), Padjadjaran University, undertook a significant Community Service Program (PPM) in the Jatigede District of Sumedang. Held at the iconic Al-Kamil Mosque, a popular tourist destination, the event marked a crucial step towards establishing a vibrant and inclusive community space dedicated to the arts and culture.
The full-day agenda included a preview of several final production reports, showcasing a documentary film, a compelling photo story, a profile video, and a cultural theater performance developed for the region. The core objective of this initiative is to transform the area around the Al-Kamil Mosque into an inclusive hub where local residents and tourists can connect through shared artistic experiences. As part of their engagement, the lecturers also conducted on-site surveys to gather insights, ensuring the future project is well-realized and meets the community’s needs—a testament to Unpad’s commitment to social responsibility.
More than just a community service event, this initiative is a powerful local example of how global goals for sustainability can be brought to life.
